Simple MSP or Simple Managed Service Provider is a simple and easy to use billing and accounting system designed specifically for small to medium business owners including sole traders and sub-contractors. It was born in the mid 1990’s when we needed a simple way to track renewable customer accounts. Some of these accounts were renewed every month, some every quarter and some annually many of the accounting packages of the time featured renewable accounts but it was implemented in a klunky and complex fashion, we needed something simple and fast and easy to add and remove accounts as required.
In 1994 we invested 3 months development time to create the first version and it worked so well that we can continued to use it internally for the next 30 years with only some minor code updates and additions. We always had planned to re-package it into a commercial product but the cost of development was probibitive and we were just too busy during the start of the 21st century.
Now 25 years into the new century we have Artifical Intelligence to help us code and increase our efficiencies, we have leveraged the Codex from OpenAI to help us re-write SimpleMSP and package it into a commercial product.
